Direct and Reported Speech

Today I did Direct Speech and Reported Speech and we had to put the information in the boxes. if it is Direct Speech or Reported Speech they mean moving from one place to another without changing direction or stopping.

First we had  to put the sentence to the Direct Speech or Reported Speech. After I had to write Characteristic it means someting like a place, or thing and serving to identify them and I wrote Speech marks and Exactly what a person says.

Lastly I had to read all of the sentences. When I read it I had to show my teacher so I could blog it.

Commenting Thread

Today I commented on Fotu's blog post it was about a little boy that loved nutcrackers and he wanted an nutcrackers. When it was christmas he had an nutcrackers and he was excited.

I commented on Siale's blog post. It was about basic facts. When I saw his time, it was fast.   I can't beat that.

Cricket

When we were at cricket we had to verse other school.s There were only 5 schools to verse when we verse stone  feilds. The biggest hit that I made was the 6 runs. I had so much fun at Cricket because its my first time playing.  It was Bailey Road, Tamaki Pimary, Stone Field 1 and 2.   Then we played Glen Bray. We lost 3 and won 2. We came 4 on the leader board.

Kiwican

When we were at KiwiCan we had to do our engerzier and It was called hammer and also we learnt about being a role model. We were talking of taking care of our parents and helping them in their everyday life.

First we played hammer so it was like this. You hands have to be in the front middle so, when Mrs Grace says down,  the one on the top has to go down and when she sa's hammer the other person has to bang the hand in the front.

Next Mrs Grace said Lilo is coming and when he came, I asked "could you beat boxing?" and when I said that, he did and It was kind of a sad one so it almost made me cry. He used to be a magician. That is a magic thing that he used to dissappear things into the other room and he said he allso played for MMA and that was cool.  It was like kind of boxing game that people could do vs other people.

Later we did around the world so one person has to stand up and the other person has to vs them so when Mrs Grace says an answer they have to say it and when the first person says it then they win then they keep on going until the end.

I felt excited because our first new student was here and I learned about him beat boxing and him MMA and him magicing and it was cool and he said he is Samon he has 3 sisters and 1 brother and 2 little sisters and we had fun with him.

Cricket

This week I went to inter school cricket. We played five school. It was stone field 1, baily road,  stone field 2,  Glen bray, and Tamaki Primey school. We lost 3 games and won 2. We came 4 place. On my last game I hit a big 4. It when you hit it over the coin. It not when you bounce and it goes over the coin. That is a four. I had a lot of fun.

SSR Selfie

I had to read a book for SSR Selfie.The book that I was reading was Dunger
In the book it is about the Mum and the two bbrithers sharing they letters.

Writing/Complex Sentence Practise

A complex sentence is made up of two ideas joined by an AAAWWUBBIS. AAAWWUBBIS consists of ten conjuctions: Although, After, As, While, When, Until, Because, Before, If & Since.

This activity is used to help improve the correct usage of complex sentences and to build an understanding of what complex sentences are.

 The objective was to create correct complex sentences with given words and images.

LI: to write meaningful and interesting COMPLEX sentences.

Tessellation

Today I did a Tessellation patten and we had to choose a shape and put it all together and that makes a tessellation. So if you want to try this it is fun and my shape was an Octagon and this shape is a 2d shape because it is an flat shape.

My Thinkboard

Today I finished my task for math. Our task was to complete our think board about splitting numbers to make a tidy number. The spitting strategy means to cut a number into smaller parts.

First I wrote down my story problem. The equation has to be in the problem. The equation is 56+7. For an example,

 "Te Raumati had 56 apples but Leon gave her 7 more."

First Waka

Originally there were no people in New Zealand.

The first ten waka were named Kurahaupō, Mataatua, Tākitimu, Tainui, Te Arawa, Aotea, Tokomaru, Horouta, Uruao, Ārai-te-uru.

Most of the waka visited the North Island. Some of the places the waka landed at were Takou Bay, Nelson and Moeraki

The ten waka came to New Zealand to discover lands for people to live.

LI. To Answer all the boxes.

Today I challenged to do basic facts boxes upto 10 speed demon. I got none worng and all of them right.Next time I am going to try and reach for a faster time.

Reading/Fact Find

For reading we had to do a can d like SSR Selfie, Explain that idiom and more. I chose to do Fact find. For this task you have to talk about something or someone like a rugby player. For find fact my person was Chelsin Kolbe. Chelsin Kolbe is a South African player who plays wing and fullback.
This task also can help you find new information or facts about someone. I think this can do is super amazing for our educational learning.for our educational learning.

This week I took the speed demon challenge up to 5. I only did the addition because I wanted to start of easy.

Maybe next week I will do subtraction as well. At the end my time was 4 minutes and 12 seconds. I got a better time than last weeks time.

I enjoyed this activity because I am getting faster at answer and my time is getting better every week.
