LI: To practise independant activities.

 Our groups started our rotation.

The activities we attempted were Basic Facts Boxes, Drills, Abacus, and finding a group logo.
We had to make a video of ourselves counting on the abacus. I attempted the speed demon up to
5 challenge.

Next time I'll do the 10 and 20 speed demon challenge. I found the basic facts boxes
interesting and I want to have a faster time when I do basic facts boxes.
Today I decided to comment on Xavier blog post on her self portrait. I really liked her self portrait and it does look similar to her in real life. I think she did really well besides the mistake in her blurb. Instead of 'put' she put 'putted. Besides that I think she did really well. I enjoyed commenting on Xavier blog post
This week in reading we learnt about keywords. 
First we worked on understanding what a keyword was and was not. 
Then I made this poster to show my learning. 
I look foreword to using this strategy while reading.
LI:To learn and play rippa rugby

For Kiwi sport we played rippa rugby across the road at Dunkirk park with the NZ Auckland Marist rugby team. First we had to get warmed up and get the blood flowing. For our warm up we had to run any direction. There are four directions in this game which are North,South,East and West. Then we worked on some techniques like LI:To learn and play rippa rugby passing the ball.

For key words are like ideas and topic and in reading we learnt about keywords. First we worked on understanding what a keyword was and was not.
Then I made this poster to show my learning. 
I look foreword to using this strategy while reading.

For Kiwi sport we played rippa rugby across the road at Dunkirk park with the NZ Auckland Marist rugby team. First we had to get warmed up and get the blood flowing. For our warm up we had to run any direction. There are four directions in this game which are North,South,East and West. Then we worked on some techniques like passing the ball.

Then we played a one game of rippa rugby.The team were red and the other team was team green. I was in team black team.It was really hot and exhausting which made it kind of hard to catch energy.
The green team started of with a weeping 3 tries. The black team (my team) stepped it up

Kiwi can

L.I  We learnt about Positive Communicating with people.

Today we did Kiwi can and we had to learn about positive communicating with people like stop saying rude things to people and saying things nicely to people and also we learnt about things that people that are letting people play but they so no to people when they actually like to play sports and they want to play any thing they want but they so no sometimes.

After that we did our energizer for our energizer it was flipping cones and we had to go in each team Mrs Grace is team won so we tried our best on the cone game there was 15.

Next we had to do speak to an invisible Bob he wanted to play with his friends he wanted to play basketball but they say no and he says pleas but they don't let him play so he tries to play with some one but they say no and he was said so sad and he was crying and then they a person came and he said do you want to play and he said and they started playing.

Reading | Mapping Skills | Geography

 LI: To build geographical knowledge and mapping skills.

This week, we were building our geographical knowledge and challenging our mapping skills. We needed to observe a photo that was located somewhere in the world. In groups of three, we were to find out where a giant carrot was. This activity is to find out where in the world Mr. Ogilvie is.

The giant carrot is a statue which is located in Ohakune, New Zealand. We had to answer questions and add in photos. We recorded our found knowledge on this slide. I enjoyed this activity, a new fact learnt was that the giant carrot located in Ohakune that is over 6 meters tall!

Commenting | Smart Comments

Art

LI: To make piece of art using geometric shapes

For this task we had to create peace of art using different geometric. We had to try to create house on a plane landscape. Firstly we had a lesson of some geometric shapes where we could use. Then we stared creating the DLO. After that I use numerous shapes to see if the house looked it's right. Then I added some more details and colour to my piece.

Maths | Puzzle | Problem-Solving

This week, we did a puzzle-solving activity where we needed to solve and figure out a puzzle (in groups. It was a paper puzzle with multiple random symbols on them. After we managed to solve the puzzle, we had to figure out why each piece went there and the meaning behind the puzzle. After putting the puzzle together and we needed to figure out the meaning. 

The puzzle indicates a ________. Next we had to choose a category and use different kinds of media to make our own ______ using the items relating to our category. 

Task:
Put together the pieces to form a square. Once you put together the puzzle, try and figure out why they go there. Once you figure it out, explain what it is in the comments!

LI. Giving things a go.


This week we were talking about giving things a go. First we talked about what it means. When we finished talking about it we went straight into our energizer. Our energizer was called Magic word how to play the game.? To play the game you needed to find a partner the sit down and facing
each other and leave space for a cone. So then put your guys hands at the back of your back then someone has to chose a word so the person that chose the word had to make a sentences then while saying the sentence add the word that you chose then the first one to grab the cone wins.

After our energizer we jumped into our activity this next one was called Acting  this game is when you need to find a partner then with your partner go back to back then someone has to tell you and your partner what you guys have to act like the best person to act what the other person said wins

About Me 2020

About Me 2020

Malo lele. 

My name is Viliami. I am Tonga. I am in LS1 at Panmure Bridge School. 

I enjoy playing sports for my school because I like touch and rugby league and I play with my
friends in the field. My favorite sport is rugby and I love it because we can tackle and ankle
tap them on the feet and we can bump them off. I like tag and go home and stay home.

Print Design Rules

L.I To Identify the four areas of print design.

The print design rules are things that make your DLO more better and neat. The four print design rules are composition, layout, colour, and text. As a group we had to go on different posters and write down things that are good and things that are bad.





RULE IDEAS:

  • You have to make sure your size of the font is clear to read.

Color: 8’t have a dark background if you are using a dark font

Three Facts about New Zealand

LI: To learn more about New Zealand
Today it was the start of the Summer Learning Journey. The S.L.J ( Summer Learning Journey ) Is a program for schools to particapate in throughout the summer. The First Activaty is about facts based on New Zealand. The first fact is about the translation of Aoteroa and it means the land of the long white cloud. The second fact is about New Zealand Being Goverend by Australia. And the last fact is about New Zealand Being one of the three countries that has two official national Anthem.

Today the 3rd S.L.J Activaty. One way of being Cyber Smart is to make sure your username for anything doesn't include any personal information. And make sure your device is safe because some one could hack into it.

Fabulous Ferns

LI: To make a blog post about sport uniforms. For day two of the S.L.J I had to blog about three New Zealand sports teams that have the word fern in it and if I like it or not.

I like the tall and black ferns uniform but I don't like the silver ferns because there is not that much color and representation for New Zealand





Cacti Problem

LI: To solve a mathmatical problem.
For day two of the S.L.J we had to look at a mathmatical problem. The problem that over one full year, how much water will you need to give your cacti.

I made a D.L.O ( Digital Learning Object ) about how I solved this equation. I really enjoyed doing this activaty for the S.L.J and whish to do it again.

LI: To write down 6 ways we can support our friends with there careers.

SLJ | One small step for man

LI: To create a poem about Neil Armstrong landing on the moon.
We had to create a poem about how Neil Armstrong landed on the moon. We could choose which kind of poem we were going to use, For example a Haiku, a limereck and others. I chose to do a Haiku. The rythym of a Haiku is 575 (The syllables).

SLJ | Mircale on the Hudson









 LI: To create a paraghraph about something that we or someone we know did bravely.
For the final D2 SLJ task we had to write about something we did, it could've also been someone we know. I wrote about the time that me and my cousin went to rainbows end for my 10th birthday. We first learnt about Mr Chesley Sullenberger ( Sully ) who saved over 100 people from death on a falling plane. He saved those people by skimming the plane across the Hudson River.

Oxfam Poster | SLJ

LI: To choose a charity and make a poster about it.
Today for the Day 1 Task 2 we had to choose a charity and we had to write what they do. I chose Oxfam because, I honestly like how they're helping areas that have been wrecked. In the poster I included information about Oxfam

DAY 5: DANCING King

I really love royal family performance because of the texture of there dance it is really good and I love how they performed the dance it looked very good.

Today I did another SLJ, I reviewed how royal family dance was, I think it was excellent, the texture is very unique.

Self Portrait

LI: To make a digital self portrait.

Today we were finishing our digital self portrait. We chose one out of two ways to make a digital self portrait. We could chose out of: Using simple shapes or advanced shape. I chose to do the simple shapes type. We got a tutorial video from Mr. Wong to help us. We had to start from the furthest back to the furthest frontwards. We could use simple shapes like: triangles, squares, rectangles, circles, ovals, and ect. We could also use two or more different shapes to make another shape. I used a circle and oval to make my face shape. I also used two triangles in an angle to make my upper lip. To make my lower lip I used a trapezoid/trapezium. After I got a basic impersonation of myself I went into detail and made a button and the wrinkles on my skarf. I enjoyed this activity.

Whats my name Worth?

LI: To find out what number our names are worth.

For this activity we were looking at what our names are worth. We got a chart that had all the letters in alphabetical order with the numbers that they are worth.Each single digit number had an activity that we had to do. If your name is worth: 1 - High Five someone in the room whose name starts with the same letter as your name does, 2 - Do your best twerk for five seconds, 3 - Stand on one leg and write the number '8' in the air with your eyes closed, 4 - Hum a song until someone guesses it, 5 - Pretend to be a chicken with its bottom on fire, 6 - Say the tongue-twister "She sells seashells on the sea shore" 5 times in 20 seconds, 7 - Act like a monkey for 20 seconds, 8 - Pat your head, rub your tummy, wink one eye & stick your tongue out all at the same time, 9 - You have to do the Floss. Since I was a number 9 I had to floss.

We learned about positive relationship.

We played switch places for the energizer.

We talked about fairness and fair play.

We played pizza tag to encourage fairness and fair play.

I was happy that everyone was in the game and playing fairly.

Reading, Treaty of Waitangi








This week we have been learning about the Treaty of Waitangi by accessing different text types and
media.

In groups we needed to firstly access the information and gather the main ideas of Who, What, Where,
Why and When. We had journal stories, websites, youtube videos and more.

We then had to summarise the information into sentences using key words. Even though we all picked
out different words, the main idea of the treaty are the 3 Ps.

The 3 Ps are Protection, Partnership and Participation. This is what the treaty set out to achieve.

We then had to evaluate our new learnings and think of questions that we that we want to find more
information on.

Maritime Museum

L.I To study the history of NZ maritime explores 


We went to the maritime museum to find out about maritime explores.

I saw lots of boasts like Kayaks and waka.

I found out that sir peter Blake was the  best new Zealand sailor

I watched a video about the first explorers coming to Aotearoa.

I learnt about things that I have'en learnt about.

Crazy Cricket Chaos






L.I To Develop fundamental movements in Cricket 

We did our first season of cricket with Brian from HPCC

I did a season on throwing a ball at a set of stumps.

We also did an activity where we had to hit  2 balls off cones as far as we could.

Lastly we did a catching drill with 2 balls in a big circle.

I was so tired at the end from all the running. I need to work on aiming when throwing.
